MXM 1.5.8 (2026-09-01)

• Addressed the CRAN review comments for version 1.5.7:
• quoted the reference titles in DESCRIPTION;
• documented the return values of the internal functions;
• updated examples to use temporary files, restore graphical parameters, and keep executable examples short enough to run unwrapped;
• replaced unconditional console output with message();
• removed changes to the global warning option; and
• removed fixed internal random seeds so reproducibility is controlled by user-supplied seed arguments.
• Bundled the UCI Wine dataset used by two vignettes so they can be rebuilt without Internet access.
• Added the dataset source, DOI, and license information to inst/COPYRIGHTS.
• The statistical algorithms and public function signatures are unchanged.
